Catkin is a floristry business specialising in English grown flowers and is known for a beautiful and natural style.

Rachel's passion for sustainably grown flowers and her talent for producing gorgeous floral arrangements have earned Catkin a place in the Independent newspaper's list of top 50 florists.

It is very important at Catkin that the business is run in a sustainable way, but, the underlying principle is that using sustainable, British flowers does not ever mean compromising on style and gorgeousness.

Rachel Petheram specialises in English grown flowers and grows most of her flowers in the walled kitchen garden at Doddington Hall in Lincolnshire. She is passionate about natural seasonal flowers and about producing flowers in a sustainable way.

Rachel trained at the Paula Pryke Flower School in London and has been growing cut flowers for over 13 years.  She has a wealth of experience in floristry and gardening as well as a background in lecturing.

She runs many courses at Doddington Hall, RHS Harlow Carr, Welbeck School of Artsian Food and the Chelsea Physic Garden.

Rachel is a very experienced wedding florist and loves working with couples to grow and arrange personal, bespoke, seasonal flowers. Her lovely wedding flowers were featured on the BBC2 gardening series ' Great British Garden Revival' in 2014.
