Megans Welsh Cakes

Megan's was founded in 2009 by me, Lynne Morgan after having a visit from a lovely English lady who was given a welsh tea! She thought the cakes were delicious and suggested I sell them. After apporaching my Mother-in Law (the lady I called Mam) for permission to use her name and recipe, I got to work on spreading the word.

Megan lived until March last year in the heart of the Welsh Valleys, and from a teenager I remember the smell of welshcakes as I went there whilst at school. Everyone loved Megans welshcakes. When I was still a young teenager, I moved in, and it was then I learned how to bake.

Sadly Megan passed away in March 2011 at the age of 91, but she will always be remembered with a great deal of love and grattitude - we dedicate this little business to her name.

We are registered and regulated by Rhondda Cynon Taff and hold a current food hygiene certificate.

We take orders from £20, and need 24 hours notice to complete any order as the cakes are freshly baked for you.

We recently provided 700 star shaped welshcakes for the Macmillan Centenary Ball in Cardiff. The ball was a huge success and so were our welshcakes!
